Looking to improve the customer buying experience, PcPools determined it was necessary to update its websites interface to bring it in line with the most up-to-date conventions of e-retailing. In addition to an overarching update, specific goals for the relaunch were set: provide enhanced navigation capabilities, facilitate quick access to social media platforms in order to improve communication with customers, and supplement functionality with new features like embedded video.
Marketing Director Ted Robinson had this to say: What we really wanted from the relaunched website was an updated look and feel that made navigation easy for our customers. Were constantly providing new content to our customers via social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, as well as directly via our own website in areas like the Pool Library, the Glossary, and the Blog. As a customer service centric e-tailer, we felt that the old website platform was preventing us from connecting with our customers to the degree we desired. So, not only does the new site look and navigate much better, it helps us meet and educate our customers!
