Swag Team Releases 'Studio Sessions Vol. 1' Mixtape Presented by DJ Pain1 and Coast 2 Coast Mixtape Promotions   (February 07, 2012)

Hip hop group Swag Team recently released their mixtape Studio Sessions Vol. 1. Presented by DJ Pain1 and Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes, the project is now available for free download. Studio Sessions features the Swag Team members Young Icon, AEGY, and Bugadi Dooda on tracks with guest artist appearances from Orthodox.

Swag Team is a hip hop trio made up of members Young Icon (Alex Schmidt), Bugadi Dooda (Marlon Conner), and AEGY (Austin Gile). Icon and AEGY began rapping together in school and liked how they sounded together on tracks, so decided to start the Swag Team group. Icon had been recording songs on his personal studio equipment, which led to the development of Music Transit Studios. The two linked with another classmate, Dooda, and started to record and release their singles on YouTube. The Wisconsin trio soon decided to record a full mixtape, which became Studio Sessions Vol. 1, recorded at Music Transit Studios. The group lists influences as Mac Miller, Wiz Khalifa, Wale, J. Cole, and Tyga.

Young Icon and AEGY are currently working on their second mixtape, featuring Bugadi Dooda on several tracks. Dooda is also busy compiling his solo mixtape.

DJ Pain 1 is a Madison-based producer (RIAA Gold-Certified), Violator All-Star DJ, Coast 2 Coast DJ, and educator. He has produced for artists ranging from Young Jeezy to Chuck D to Gucci Mane and has hosted a number notable mixtapes.
