There are some very powerful tools in CINEMA 4D that you can use very quickly to create some 3D graphic elements. I was recently asked to create some barbed wire for a background graphic, and what took 30 minutes for designers to find, took us less than a minute to build and manipulate into position for reference.Of course, it takes quite a bit longer to actually SHOW you how to create the barbed wire - creating the barb, wrapping it around the wire, using MOGRAPH in order to push instances along several splines - but this is the basics of the barb.
Once you learn how to do this, the rest is easy, and with a few days of using the tools in this tutorial - it won't take you more than a minute to create.

Below is the link for the tutorial movie. I've tried to keep it to around 5 minutes long so you can get to the application and try it out.
Don't have the application? You can get the demo by visiting the MAXON website:
