Renato Tarabella's popular plugin called "Path Deformer LITE" is a favored tool because it does many things quickly and easily. Because the LITE version of the plugin is free, many people quickly download it, and get snagged by a couple of easily corrected mistakes. Here are a few.
If you haven't downloaded the plugin, you can take a look at Renato's website; http://www.tarabella.it/c4d. The LITE version of the plugin may not be available yet for download on that site, but be persistent. If instead, you need a copy of MAXON's CINEMA 4D software, the 3D application which hosts this plugin, be sure to check out their website at http://www.maxon.net.
Below you'll find a link to the movie that describes this gotcha, and the work-around that solves the problem. It is a "user-error" event rather than a problem in the software, but the problem is common enough to merit this little demo movie. If you need more information about this software or have other Cinema 4D questions, be sure to check out Rob Garrott and his co-moderators in the Cinema 4D Forum here on DMN.
