nCourt, LLC, a leading national provider of eFiling and payment solutions for lower courts, today announced that its electronic traffic and citation payments system has been selected by Dauphin County, Pennsylvania for use by 18 District Courts. With an average of 250,000 citations processed in the county per year, the nCourt system will enable users to easily enter their plea and submit payments through an easy-to-use, convenient service that is available via both phone and Internet.
'We are thrilled to be able to offer these citation payment resources to Dauphin County,' said Bill Giller, Vice President of Sales for nCourt. 'Given the volume of tickets the county processes and the track record we have with other courts throughout the country, a partnership between nCourt and Dauphin County makes perfect sense.'
Individuals who are facing a traffic violation citation simply visit www.dauphintix.com or www.ncourt.com and select Dauphin County from the menu. They can also pay by phone at 1-800-701-8560. The convenient, easy-to-follow system enables payments to be made and confirmed within minutes, ensuring completion and avoiding further potential penalties. nCourt also provides a free, bilingual customer help center.
nCourt's traffic citation payment system will be customized for each individual court location's needs, enabling users to take advantage of entering their guilty or not guilty plea, individual jurisdiction ticket specifications, etc. Dauphin County has started out by launching three District Courts, and will be followed by additional jurisdictions in the coming weeks. As an area that is close driving distance to Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and New York City, the convenience of online payments is especially beneficial to individuals living outside the area that receive citations.
'We applaud Dauphin County for pioneering the use of e-commerce in the Pennsylvania courts,' said David Morris, CEO of nCourt. 'Also, Dauphin County is in a very unique location, making it an area that we are especially looking forward to providing our services. No one particularly enjoys paying a ticket, so we hope to make the process a little easier for individuals faced with a citation.'
In addition to Pennsylvania, nCourt also serves the online payment needs of courts, cities, counties and their other revenue-generating departments for a combined 350+ jurisdictions in 13 other states. These states include Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Tennessee, and Texas.
