Therap Services to Host Conference on Electronic Documentation, Electronic Signatures and Electronic Health Records for the Developmental Disabilities Community   (October 30, 2009)

WATERBURY, Conn., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Therap Services is hosting its 4th annual National Provider Administrator conference in Fishkill, NY February 2-4, 2010. Therap provides electronic documentation and communication services to providers of service to people with developmental disabilities. Therap complies and helps providers comply with HIPAA, ARRA and electronic signature requirements.

Provider Administrators are senior positions such as director of quality assurance, director of nursing, staff development coordinator, executive director, medicaid service coordinator, compliance and house manager in the developmental disabilities community who are responsible for the planning and implementation of Therap system in an agency. Provider Administrators are also responsible for authorizing access to information of staff members, overseeing user activity and maintaining user accounts.

Sessions will include: Electronic Signatures related to electronic health records and developmental disability providers ISP programs and ISP plans Tracking admissions and waiting lists Electronic Medication Administration Records Global ISP Template Library Health Tracking, Electronic Health Records and HL7 Working with States, Quality Monitors and Surveyors from NASDDDS members on electronic signatures and documentation Acquired Brain Injury / Traumatic Brain Injury Incident Reporting Medicaid Service Coordinators (MSCs) State Specific Issues including OMRDD and other NASDDS members Medicaid Billing Using Therap for Agencies using CARF and CQL Cost and Budget Savings Using Therap Training on Modules including; GERS, Tlogs, Behaviors, Individual Service Plans, Individual Data Forms, Health Tracking (including Seizures), Calendar, Staff Schedule, Training Management and Billing Other presentations are expected to include: College of Direct Support Deyta and Ancor's Performance Excellence Initiative Rest Assured Web Footed Friends

There will be user presentations at the conference. These will include discussions of how Therap is accepted as an electronic signature when dealing with surveyors and audits. There will be discussions regarding use of Therap by family members. Additional sessions will cover policies and procedures regarding deal with protection and advocacy issues.
